"I had a minor accident, a small wire cage thing fell off a truck on the highway and I had cars on both sides of me so I couldn't avoid it. It ripped my muffler system off the hooks and left it hanging. I was 3 hours from home, during a 6 hour drive. I crawled under my car and lifted the system back on the hangers, but when it was ripped down it had ripped a sensor out and broke a couple rusty bolts in two flanges, so it was super loud and the sensor put my car in an error mode locking me out of all wheel drive. When I got home I filed a claim, but the app wouldn't let me pick the garage close to me. I called the office and a rep told me I could pick my own garage and it would be fine. I had to go on an out of state trip that weekend, and this was the only garage that said they could fix it in time. So I told them what happened and dropped my car off. They fixed it and charged me over $2,000. I had to hound State Farm to find out what was going on with my claim, so I could be reimbursed like they said I would be. State Farm claims finally called the garage many weeks later and asked if the photos the garage took looked like normal wear and tear, and the garage front desk guy said yes! Stare Farm denied my claim. I called my insurance office and talked to multiple people there and they said the garage needed to call them and tell them they were wrong, but they wouldn't call the garage. I called the garage and told them what was going on, they apologized and said State Farm had to call them. I was stuck in the middle. Very frustrated, I finally got ahold of the head person, Julia Patton at my State Farm branch, and she said she'd fix things. She didn't. The garage finally was in contact with the claims department and told them they were wrong. State Farm still denied my claim. My State Farm office hasn't called me back or addressed the issue. I pay thousands of dollars for full coverage insurance over more than a decade and I'm left screwed out of thousands more dollars. Garbage service from a garbage company. This office and company are a greedy scam. I'll be finding a new insurance company."
